On saving, the tags you define become selectable from the custom tags list above.
#MUSICBRAINZ PICARD AUTO SAVE CODE#
One exception might be when the code is already used for one of the formats by other tools you use. The tags you create are saved to and read from music files as with any standard tag and can be used for sorting, filtering, searching and naming.Įnter an identifier for the tag and then the specific tag code for each format - in most cases there is no need to use a different code. I do not want to add many of the tag types displayed. my next step would be to save the new value tags into the file. (Also, as hiccup pointed out, the tag code is RELEASETYPE for FLAC, not Release Type. The auto-tag function in MusicBee does not include the Release Type info. On clicking the Define New Tags button you will be prompted to enter the details for the custom tags you want to create. As previously mentioned you must use Picard to get this info. You can add to the list with your tags - see Define New Tags below. For the formats that have no standard defined, the tag names MusicBee uses are on a best-efforts basis aligned with Mp3Tag and foobar. These predefined tags are less common but have defined standards for some formats (mostly the ID3 format for MP3 files). Now, click the Save button, and all the MBIDs will be saved into your music files. You should end up with just the pertinent data displayed: Click Ok.
#MUSICBRAINZ PICARD AUTO SAVE SOFTWARE#
The software has its own MusicBrainz Picard database and once you import your music library to the software, it would automatically start a scan to mark out songs and albums whose tags need editing. Then, click the datum after MusicBrainz Release Id and click Delete to remove all data underneath. The software supports a number of audio formats including MP3, OGG, MP4, Vorbis, WMA, FLAC and many others. By default MusicBee has a list of 30 or so predefined tags you can choose from, such as Sort-Artist for example. Then, click Delete until MusicBrainz Release Id is the first datum shown.

Select the logical tag name that values will be read from or saved to. You can also choose not to save your custom tags to the music files, but instead save to MusicBee database only.Įnter the label the tag will have when prompted for input or displayed on the main panel. You can add any number of these in the top part of the Define New Tags window. These are automatically available in the "save to music file as tag" drop-down menu.
